Required Certification Information for California Employees

Many positions at California Water Service Company require a Water Distribution and/or Water Treatment Certification issued by the State of California Department of Public Health (DPH).

If you are interested in obtaining certification, you will need to attend a class, receive online education, or take a correspondence course in a specialized area of training. Organizations offering courses that are accepted by DPH are:

Water Treatment certification tests are held in May and November. Water Distribution certification tests are held April and October.
