Required Certification Information

Many positions at the California Water Service Company require a Water Distribution and/or Water Treatment Certification that has been issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services (DHS).

If you are interested in obtaining certification, you will need to attend a class, online education, or take a correspondence course in a specialized area of training. Organizations offering courses that are accepted by the DHS are:

Water Treatment certification tests are held in May and November. Water Distribution certification tests are held February and August.
